Major Gifts - Levels and Benefits
Legacy Circle
KCSM is proud that a number of individuals are Legacy Circle members, giving at the $1,000 level - $4,999 level. Legacy Circle members are truly the visionary partners for KCSM, encouraging us to extend our influence as public broadcasters.
For those giving to KCSM TV, you encourage us to produce and show the best of local, national and cutting edge international programming, as well as broadcast on new and emerging technology.
For those giving to Jazz 91, you show that this indigenous art form must be fostered, preserved and recognized. Please consider contributing to our Endowment for the Preservation and Dissemination of the KCSM Jazz Archives to preserve our unique and rare recordings for future generations.
Legacy Circle members receive the following benefits, matched to your gift to KCSM TV and/or Jazz 91:
- Invitations to special events where you may meet KCSM staff, announcers and musicians or television personalities
- Tickets to jazz shows, including local and area jazz festivals, such as Stanford, San Jose, San Francisco and others
- "Behind the Scenes" private tours of KCSM for your and your friends, led by one of our well-known jazz announcers, such as Alisa Clancy, and General Manager, Marilyn Lawrence
- Advance notice of special programs
- Acknowledgment of your gifts to the station on our website and print publications (with your permission, of course!)
Platinum Circle
Contributors at the Platinum Circle level of $5,000 and above, receive Legacy Circle benefits, plus:
- Program specific underwriting opportunities for radio or television - based upon availability
- Opportunities to appear on KCSM TV or FM during pledge

Planned Giving
A planned gift to KCSM is a great partnership between you and the station, as your gift provides a dual benefit. Planned gifts create opportunities for you and for KCSM. There are many straight forward giving opportunities, from naming us as a beneficiary in your will to a more complex trust arrangement. You will want to plan carefully with your attorney or tax advisor to choose the option(s) that are best for you, your family and your overall estate and philanthropic plans.
