The multi-lingual, multi-talented, Lua Hadar has performed as a singer and actor since her New York City childhood.

After getting her B.A. in Theatre Performance (she also holds an M.A. in Education), Lua attended the celebrated Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre, while also studying opera with Metropolitan Opera coach Joan Dornemann. She's a unique and original vocalist with a soaring range and emotional depth, singing her own brand of cosmopolitan jazz influenced by pop, funk, Latin and international cabaret.

Lua is also influenced by her world travels, to Bali, Russia, Switzerland, Japan, Thailand, France and Italy, which collectively bring her to "jazz without borders" (she sings in at least half a dozen languages).

Lua's first album, "Lua Hadar with TWIST", received a warm critical reception, and her new "Like a Bridge" forms the centerpiece of her "Bridges Project", which includes an educational and cultural exchange component.
