Pianist, composer and educator Jason Yeager is a wonderful explorer with both a keen curiosity and the rare ability to be a good listener. He loves to investigate the rich jazz piano tradition and then to go in a entirely different direction. He's well versed in the languages of 20th century classical music, jazz, blues folk, and funk, and is active on the scenes in New York City and Boston.

Jason is a graduate of the New England Conservatory/Tufts University double degree program, and has been on the faculty at the Berklee College of Music since 2012 when he was aged only 25. He was mentored by pianists Danilo PĂ©rez, Fred Hersch, Frank Carlberg and Ran Blake: Blake calls Jason "an incredible composer and musician who surprises you like a thunderbolt".

A recording artist on Greg Osby's Inner Circle Music label, Jason has albums with his own trio, "Affirmation" and "Ruminations"; his latest is co-led with violinist Jason Anick, "United".
