| Bassist Seward McCain is that rara avis, a native San Franciscan. He has been a first-call bassist not only in the Bay Area but internationally for 25 years and more, touring or performing or recording, or any combination, with such as Vince Guaraldi, Jackie & Roy, Dianne Schuur, Ernie Watts, Kenny Barron, Herb Ellis, Jack Sheldon, Richie Cole, Mark Murphy, Dick Hindman, and the cream of British jazz royalty, Dame Cleo Laine & Sir John Dankworth. He's on the faculty of the Jazz School in Berkeley, teaching three combo classes.
