| Wally Schnalle (2008) | |
|---|---|
| Wally Schnalle has been all over the Bay Area jazz scene since he quit his Silicon Valley desk job back in 1984 in order to pursue a career playing drums. Since then, it's been one long drum-athon: he's put out three or four cutting-edge recordings, and played countless festivals (yes, including Monterey). He's a teacher, and also a writer (he's editor for DRUM! magazine). "Wally kicks butt!" says Steve Gadd (and he should know what he's talking about: he's one of the most recorded drummers in history).
