Wally Schnalle (2008)

Visit Website

Wally Schnalle has been all over the Bay Area jazz scene since he quit his Silicon Valley desk job back in 1984 in order to pursue a career playing drums. Since then, it's been one long drum-athon: he's put out three or four cutting-edge recordings, and played countless festivals (yes, including Monterey). He's a teacher, and also a writer (he's editor for DRUM! magazine). "Wally kicks butt!" says Steve Gadd (and he should know what he's talking about: he's one of the most recorded drummers in history).
