| Jim Rothermel has been an active part of the San Francisco music scene since 1966. He is an accomplished and talented musician, proficient on soprano, alto, and tenor saxophones, clarinet, flute, recorder and harmonica. He is adept in a variety of musical styles: Dixieland, Swing, Big Band Jazz; Western Swing, Rock and Roll, Blues, Folk, New Age, and Classical. Jim has toured and performed extensively with numerous major artists in the United States, Europe, Japan, and Canada. He is a seasoned studio recording artist with featured performances on more than 100 recordings, a skilled arranger and bandleader, and an experienced teacher who enjoys working with individuals and groups of all ages and levels of ability. |
