Javon Jackson, Les McCann and Dr. Lonnie Smith will be bringing their updated version of soul jazz on Sunday. Come see if they do Les McCann’s hit “Compared to what”. Remember that?

Arturo O’Farrell and the Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra

The 18 piece Arturo O’Farrel Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra will be playing Sat night at the Verizon Swing stage. Originally created for Jazz at Lincoln Center the group has earned three Grammy Award nominations.

Natalie Cressman

Jazz tromonist Natalie Cressman grew up in SF and has been a featured artist in Monterey Jazz  with Peter Apfelbaum’s Hieroglyphics ensemble. Now residing in New York she has her own group Secret Garden and plays with many other artists.
