Join Chuy as he speaks with the late Kahil Shaheed and Taj Mahal on I’m Talkin’ Jazz. Kahil Shaheed is best know as a music educator in the Oakland school district. He was the founder of the Oaktown Jazz Workshops for youth of all ages. He was active in the education programs of Stanford Jazz Workshop, San Jose Jazz Society and San Francisco Festival. Shaeed got his start as part of Buddy Miles band and has recorded on over 20 albums for artists like Taj Mahal, Ledisi, Babatunde Lea, and many others.
